DIVIDE respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have to control it.
Short version: we collect the minimum we need to ship your order, run our business, and stay in touch. We don't sell your data. Ever.
Who We Are
DIVIDE Products is a subsidiary of The Bindery, a family-owned bookbinder based in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. Our mailing address is 8201 Brooklyn Blvd, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445. You can reach us at privacy@divideproducts.com.
What We Collect
Order Information. Name, shipping address, billing address, email, phone number (optional), and payment details you provide at checkout. Payment card numbers are handled by our processor — we never see or store them.
Account & Email Info. If you create an account or sign up for our list, we store your email and any preferences you share with us.
Site Usage Data. Automatically collected via cookies and analytics: your IP address, browser type, pages visited, time on site, referring source. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Customer Support. If you email us, we keep a record of that conversation so we can help you and improve how we handle future questions.
How We Use It
We use the information above to:
- Process and ship your orders
- Send order confirmations, shipping updates, and delivery notifications
- Send marketing emails if you've opted in — you can opt out anytime
- Understand how the site is used so we can improve it
- Show DIVIDE ads to people who visited but didn't buy
- Detect and prevent fraud
- Meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations
Who We Share It With
We only share your data with vendors who help us run the business. These include:
- Shopify — our store platform and payment processor
- Klaviyo — sends our emails
- Google Analytics & Google Ads — site analytics and advertising
- Meta (Facebook & Instagram) — social ads and retargeting
- TikTok — social ads and retargeting
- Shipping carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx) — to deliver your order
Each of these vendors has its own privacy policy. We chose them because they're industry-standard and meet reasonable security standards.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We also don't share it for anyone else's marketing purposes without your consent.
How Long We Keep It
Order and account information: as long as your account is active, plus 7 years for tax records. Marketing emails: until you unsubscribe. Analytics data: up to 26 months in Google Analytics. Customer support conversations: 3 years.
Your Rights
If you live in California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, or any state with a consumer privacy law, you have the right to:
- Know what personal info we've collected about you
- Access a copy of that info
- Delete your info (subject to legal and business retention requirements)
- Correct inaccurate info
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your info for advertising purposes
- Non-discrimination — we won't treat you differently for exercising any of these rights

Cookies & Tracking
Our site uses cookies and similar tracking technology. Full details are in our Cookie Policy. You can adjust your cookie preferences through the banner on your first visit or in your browser settings.
Children's Privacy
DIVIDE is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, email privacy@divideproducts.com and we'll delete it.
Security
We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data — encrypted checkout (HTTPS), PCI-compliant payment processing through Shopify, and reasonable access controls on our end. No system is 100% secure, but we take this seriously.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. We honor it where we can, but some third-party tools we use don't yet recognize it. You can opt out of specific tracking through the tools linked in our Cookie Policy.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to how we handle your data, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. Significant changes will also be announced by email if you're on our list.
